RECOGNITION
The excellence achieved by the Kendra in conducting its various examinations and the confidence created by its track record of maintaining high quality and reliability have prompted various State Governments, Education Boards and Universities to accord recognition to the certificates and diplomas awarded by the Kendra as requisite qualification for the purpose of appointment of teachers/lecturers in schools/colleges as well as taking admission in higher courses of study under their respective jurisdictions.
The most notable feature is that the University Grants Commission has declared in unambiguous terms that the certificates and diplomas awarded by the Kendra may be treated as equivalent to degrees awarded by Universities for the purpose of employment.
The Supreme Court judgement is another feather in Kendra’s cap. The apex court was pleased to accept the report of Hon’ble Mr. Justice (Retd.) S.C. Agrawal in the CA matter number 6098 of 1997 and has held that Diplomas of Sangeet Bhaskar and Sangeet Visharad awarded by the Kendra are equivalent to Post-Graduate and Graduate qualification in music respectively.
